A well-respected federal and state litigator, Charles Horn is a partner at Horn Wright, LLP, with more than 200 verdicts to his credit.

Beginning his legal career as a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, Attorney Horn went on to supervise the county’s federal litigation unit. There, he and his unit aggressively defended allegations of constitutional deprivations, ranging from discrimination to the unlawful use of deadly force.

After leaving the county to enter private practice, Attorney Horn was personally solicited by various municipalities to handle some of their most complicated matters.

During his 26-year career, Attorney Horn has developed an extensive practice representing individuals who have been the subject to false arrest, malicious prosecution, and excessive force. As trial counsel, he has secured verdicts as high as $5 million for his clients.

With his foundation in the federal and state trial courts, Attorney Horn went on to expand his civil practice to include complex commercial litigation, RICO, and health care-related controversies; he has been handling high profile litigation ever since.

While practicing in the private sector, Attorney Horn joined the United States Army as a commissioned officer in the Army National Guard Judge Advocate Corps in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he volunteered for active duty in Iraq. In recognition of his service in Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Combat Action Badge, and the Army Achievement Medal.

Lieutenant Colonel Horn is certified at a Military Judge an assigned to New York State Joint Forces Headquarters. In addition to his private practice and military service, he is also the Deputy Village Attorney performing prosecutorial and general legal services to the Village of Lynbrook since 1998.

Attorney Horn earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 1996 after earning two undergraduate degrees from Lehigh University in 1992.

Ron F. Wright is a partner at Horn Wright, LLP, where he focuses on civil and personal injury litigation. He is admitted to practice in the courts of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

As an instrument-rated pilot, Attorney Wright flies throughout the Northeast, flying the firm’s airplane to represent individual and corporate clients. His aviation skill set uniquely allows the firm to provide legal representation to clients in areas with limited options for legal services. Attorney Wright is also a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, an organization comprising members of the legal field that handle aviation-related matters.

Attorney Wright has been selected for membership in The Best Lawyers in America® in the plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. Best Lawyers® highlights the top 6% of private practicing attorneys in the United States. Additionally, in 2020, he was awarded membership in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40. Attorney Wright graduated from Albany Law School where he served as Executive Editor for the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. He was a member of the Albany Law School Trial Team; winner of the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials Competition; Judge Merle Nahum Fogg, Jr. ’45 Moot Court Prize; and the recipient of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association Award. He was inducted into the National Order of Barristers for outstanding ability in the preparation of moot appellate argument. His note entitled “Shocking the Second Amendment: Invalidating State Prohibitions on Taser with the District of Columbia v. Heller,” 20 ALB. L.J. SCI. & TECH. 159 (2010) was published and cited in an amicus brief for U.S. Circuit Court matters.

Erin Stamper

Erin S. Stamper is the Supervisor of the Firm’s No-Fault and Health Care Law Department, a 20-person team dedicated to assisting healthcare providers, including hospitals and surgeons, with issues concerning regulatory compliance, revenue cycle management, and collections.

Ms. Stamper provides corporate counsel services to physicians and group medical practices, assisting with corporate formation, structuring compensation agreements for new employees and practitioners, without violating Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, or fee-splitting prohibitions, negotiating and drafting contracts, responding to subpoenas for patient health information, and providing real estate services, including lease negotiations.

During her 15-year tenure with the Firm, Ms. Stamper has recovered millions of dollars for medical providers handling no-fault trials and arbitrations. Ms. Stamper defends medical providers in Article 75s, De Novo, and Declaratory Judgment actions, and assists with insurance claw backs. She represents medical providers during the examination under oath (EUO) and verification process. Ms. Stamper also interacts with the Department of Financial Services on issues involving proposed regulatory amendments and unfair claims practices.

Rich Pawelczyk

Richard Pawelczyk is Senior Counsel at Horn Wright, LLP, handling litigation and transactions for individuals and companies of all sizes, including publicly traded corporations.

Prior to joining Horn Wright, LLP, Mr. Pawelczyk served as counsel to several prominent entertainment companies and helped guide their business development, including Webster Hall Entertainment Corp before its sale to the Brooklyn Nets ownership group. Mr. Pawelczyk’s 20 years of experience includes corporate transactions, commercial real estate, employment, fashion, food & beverage, and right of publicity law.

Mr. Pawelczyk is also a seasoned intellectual property attorney, with vast experience handling trademarks and copyrights for celebrities and media companies. Mr. Pawelczyk co-authored an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court, advocating for an extension of the copyright term. In conjunction with his colleagues at Webster Hall and Columbia Records, Mr. Pawelczyk helped form UmixIt Technologies, which won Intel’s Best New Technology Award at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show.

Mr. Pawelczyk earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University.

Alexander H. Mun

Attorney Alexander H. Mun, is a well-respected and knowledgeable health care attorney. Prior to joining Horn Wright, LLP, Attorney Mun has successfully secured millions of dollars for the Firm’s healthcare clients in the collection of their no-fault claims, in both arbitration and litigation. Over the course of his career, Attorney Mun has successfully arbitrated and litigated thousands of No-Fault claims.

Attorney Mun also represents the Firm’s healthcare clients in the federal and state trial courts, defending them in RICO actions, Declaratory Judgment actions, and complex commercial litigation. Additionally, he defends the Firm’s healthcare clients in Examinations Under Oath (“EUOs”), and in actions by the NYS Education Department’s Office of Professional Discipline.

In 2003, Attorney Mun completed his undergraduate studies at New York University. In 2010, he completed his legal studies at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Attorney Mun is licensed to practice in New York, California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Attorney Mun is proud to give back to the community. He was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees at SUNY Old Westbury. Neil Flynn

For over two decades, attorney Neil Flynn has litigated matters in New York State and Federal Courts from Suffolk County to the Canadian border. Neil has successfully prosecuted and defended complex, high-value matters involving intellectual property, construction, contracts, employment, health care, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and bodily injury, among other areas of law. He’s represented clients on both sides of the table in over a hundred trials and won over fifty million dollars in compensation for his clients.

Neil’s legal career began with work-study jobs at large, white-shoe firms while still an undergraduate at Columbia University in the City of New York. He went on to positions at firms concentrating in real estate, health care, and commercial disputes while working his way through Fordham University School of Law. He won his first trial ten months after being admitted to practice and has never looked back.

Attorney Pablo A. Fernandez joined Horn Wright, LLP, having a diverse background in criminal defense, immigration, construction law litigation, and municipal law.

Attorney Pablo A. Fernandez was a deputy county attorney with the Office of the Nassau County Attorney, where he was a Deputy Bureau Chief in the Litigation Bureau. This Bureau defends against all civil matters brought against Nassau County, including Section 1983 actions. Prior to his work with the Litigation Bureau, Attorney Pablo A. Fernandez represented Nassau County’s Department of Social Services.

Attorney Pablo A. Fernandez also served as an adjunct law professor with the Maurice A. Dean School of Law, where he taught Legal Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation. Mr. Fernandez is also a volunteer firefighter with the Atlantic Steamer Fire Co. No. 1 of Oyster Bay where he also serves as the Dive Rescue Captain. Attorney Pablo A. Fernandez earned his Juris Doctorate from City University of New York School of Law in 2001 after earning an undergraduate degree from St. John’s University School in 1997.

Ryan C. Woodworth joined Horn Wright, LLP, bringing a diverse background in civil rights, workers’ compensation, employment and labor law, and social security disability to our prestigious team.

Before joining Horn Wright, LLP, Attorney Woodworth was the founding and managing partner of The Woodworth Law Firm, a law firm focused on representing individuals in all areas of employment law and general civil rights matters. There, his practice included matters such as discrimination, sexual harassment, unlawful retaliation, workplace injuries, and whistleblower claims. Attorney Woodworth further dedicated his practice to defending the rights and liberties of individuals facing excessive force, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and wrongful convictions.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo, Attorney Woodworth chose to attend law school and graduated from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2010.

Phillip H. Kim

Phillip H. Kim joins Horn Wright, LLP, having a diverse background in civil litigation including labor and employment litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Kim has successfully litigated numerous labor and employment law cases on both plaintiffs’ and defendants’ sides, including matters involving the FLSA, NYLL, and ADA.

Attorney Kim earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and completed his undergraduate studies at Colgate University. As a law student, he served as Associate Research Editor for the Journal of Law & Policy. Upon graduation, Mr. Kim held a judicial fellowship position under a Judge in the New York State Supreme Court, where he gained valuable legal writing experience prior to joining the private sector.

Mr. Kim is fluent in written and spoken Korean.

Spencer D. Shapiro

Spencer D. Shapiro is a litigator at Horn Wright, LLP, with extensive experience handling civil rights, personal injury, and municipal law cases in the New York State Supreme Courts and Federal District Courts.

As a Deputy County Attorney for the Litigation and Appeals Bureau of the Nassau County Attorney’s office, Mr. Shapiro aggressively defended the County against claims of municipal liability through motion practice, depositions, and at trial, taking several cases to verdict. As a founding member of the Early Case Assessment and Litigation Support Section, Mr. Shapiro also oversaw the intake and triage of notices of claims received by the County, identifying problematic claims, and assessing the County’s potential liability.

Drawing on his experience, Mr. Shapiro now devotes his practice to representing victims of civil rights violations, including police brutality, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and prisoners’ rights. Mr. Shapiro also represents clients who have been injured in all types of accidents. Mr. Shapiro’s municipal law experience is invaluable when a client’s claim is against a municipality or municipal agency (e.g., school districts, public transportation agencies, etc.) as these claims have very strict deadlines and must be filed expeditiously to avoid being time-barred.

Mr. Shapiro earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Stony Brook University.

Lauren Senko

Lauren Senko serves as a Law Clerk in the Litigation Department at Horn Wright, LLP.

In May 2022, Ms. Senko graduated from Touro Law School. While attending law school, Ms. Senko worked as an officer manager for Worth Property Management and participated in two law clinics. Ms. Senko interned for the Small Business/Not-for-Profit Clinic, where she helped small businesses create trademarks, draft by-laws, and articles of incorporation, and for the Landlord/Tenant Medication Clinic, where she acted as a mediator for landlord-tenant disputes. Ms. Senko completed her undergraduate studies at Hofstra University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. During her time as an undergraduate, Ms. Senko served as a volunteer EMT-B for East Norwich Volunteer Fire Company.

Helen Feingersh

As an attorney at Horn Wright, LLP, Helen Feingersh serves as the lead attorney on the all district court litigation matters. Her zealous representation of her clients has led to thousands of dollars in settlements and trial awards to our clientele.

Attorney Feingersh graduated with honors from Stony Brook University in 2006. After graduating, she joined the workforce as valued employee of a medical transportation company. After five years of employment, she rededicated herself to her education, securing her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2015.

Attorney Feingersh is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and is currently a member of both the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

Sheetal Paul

Sheetal Paul joined Horn Wright, LLP, with a background in civil litigation. Ms. Paul has represented national insurance carriers in both court and arbitration and spent significant time conducting examinations under oath of claimants and medical providers. Since joining the firm, Ms. Paul has shifted her practice to the representation of healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and surgeons, in the collection of their no-fault receivables.

Ms. Paul earned her law degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY College at Old Westbury. As a law student, Ms. Paul was a judicial extern under the Honorable Margaret C. Reilly at Nassau County Surrogates Court and an intern for the Nassau County Attorney’s office, in the litigation bureau. Upon graduation, Ms. Paul was awarded the pro bono service award.

Ms. Paul speaks Punjabi fluently.

Allen Lim joined The Russell Friedman Law Group, LLP in 2023 as a member of the Litigation and Personal Injury Departments. Prior to becoming an attorney, Allen worked at our firm as a law clerk. With his direct experience of how our legal team approaches cases, Attorney Lim is a perfect fit and shares our passion for advocating on behalf of clients in need.

Allen earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from California State University Fullerton. While attending CSU Fullerton, he presented a research report at the Association for Criminal Justice Research and the American Society of Criminology Conference and served as a member of the Cambodian Student Association. He continued his higher education by finishing his J.D. at Western State College of Law in Irvine, California. During law school, Allen clerked for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. During this time, he became highly familiar with the legal system and became determined to start a career as a litigator.

Allen can speak English and Khmer, which enables him to represent more easily people in the Cambodian community. In his spare time, Allen competes in SCCA autocross events throughout the Tri-state area.

Teresa M. Spina

Teresa M. Spina has over 30 years of litigation experience and over 15 years in law office management. As the former attorney of record of GEICO’s NY No-Fault staff counsel, the largest in-house No-Fault office in the country, Ms. Spina has an in-depth knowledge in the No-Fault arena that is unparalleled. She supervised the ardent defense of no-fault litigation and arbitration of thousands of cases dealing with issues such as medical necessity, coverage, staged accidents, and policy exclusions. Prior to that, Ms. Spina spent over 10 years as a litigator, handling personal injury and general liability defense from inception through trial. Her expertise includes auto accidents, premises liability, municipal liability, school district liability, products liability, ERISA and life insurance disputes, and construction accidents.

Ms. Spina also has considerable experience in negotiating and interpreting contracts in a variety of business settings. In addition, her skills at mediating settlements are reflected in the over 35,000 cases she was able to resolve in bulk settlements, without the aid of the courts. Ms. Spina has also drafted proposed legislation and stands committed to no-fault reform for insurers.

John Sherman

John has been in practice for more than 50 years. For much of that time, his focus has been on counseling healthcare organizations on various compliance issues including HIPAA, employment relations, and billing and collection practices.

In 2007, John joined Nassau University Medical Center, a New York-based not-for-profit safety-net hospital, as its Director of Revenue Cycle Operations. In that capacity, John oversaw the hospital’s Medical Records Department, its Inpatient and Outpatient Billing Departments, its Patient Access organization, and the implementation of its Financial Assistance services.

John has been a frequent speaker at both local and national healthcare conferences, where he has addressed various topics affecting billing and collection issues.

Most recently, John’s law practice has focused on addressing billed, but unpaid, no-fault receivables. His exceptional understanding of No-Fault laws, rules, and regulations will benefit existing and future clients of the Firm. He also brings expertise in resolving other difficult third-party claims from commercial and governmental payers.

John is a graduate of the City of New York, Queens College, and St. John’s University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all New York State courts, as well as the Southern and Eastern District courts, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
