John Sherman

John has been in practice for more than 50 years. For much of that time his focus has been on counseling healthcare organizations on various compliance issues including HIPAA, employment relations, and billing and collection practices.
In 2007, John joined Nassau University Medical Center, a New York based not-for-profit safety-net hospital, as its Director of Revenue Cycle Operations. In that capacity, John oversaw the hospital’s Medical Records Department, its Inpatient and Outpatient Billing Departments, its Patient Access organization, and the implementation of its Financial Assistance services.
John has been a frequent speaker at both local and national healthcare conferences, where he has addressed various topics affecting billing and collection issues.
Most recently, John’s law practice has focused on addressing billed, but unpaid, no-fault receivables. His exceptional understanding of No-Fault laws, rules and regulations will benefit existing and future clients of the Firm. He also brings expertise in resolving other difficult third-party claims due from commercial and governmental payers.
John is a graduate of the City of New York, Queens College, and St. John’s University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all New York State courts, as well as the Southern and Eastern District courts, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United State Supreme Court.
