Richard Pawelczyk is a Partner at Horn Wright, LLP, handling litigation and transactions for individuals and companies of all sizes, including publicly traded corporations.
Prior to joining the Horn Wright, LLP, Mr. Pawelczyk served as counsel to several prominent entertainment companies and helped guide their business development, including Webster Hall Entertainment Corp before its sale to the Brooklyn Nets ownership group. Mr. Pawelczyk’s 20 years of experience includes corporate transactions, commercial real estate, employment, fashion, food & beverage, and right of publicity law.
Mr. Pawelczyk is also a seasoned intellectual property attorney, with vast experience handling trademarks and copyrights for celebrities and media companies. Mr. Pawelczyk co-authored an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court, advocating for an extension of the copyright term. In conjunction with his colleagues at Webster Hall and Columbia Records, Mr. Pawelczyk helped form UmixIt Technologies, which won Intel’s Best New Technology Award at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show.
Mr. Pawelczyk earned his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University.
